My girlfriends and I took a little getaway to Santa Barbara last week to celebrate my birthday. Just up the coast from LA, Santa Barbara is one of my favorite places to escape to. It's the perfect place to relax, have some girl talk, wine taste, and flirt with college boys without shame. We stayed at the Goodland Hotel, which I had read about and insisted to my friends it was THE PLACE so basically they had no choice since I was the birthday girl. It's in the Kimpton family of hotels, and in case you aren't familiar, Kimpton hotels are known for being cool, trendy, and young. The Goodland did not disappoint. It's the kind of place that makes you feel like you're visiting your very cool hipster friends with that perfectly effortless sense of style. When you walk in, you immediately feel very comfortable - maybe a little too comfortable considering we spent about 2 hours one morning lounging on that serpentine couch sipping coffee and taking mental notes of how we could replicate the decor in our own houses. I'm now completely obsessed with Studio Collective, the design team responsible for The Goodland's interiors. They perfectly executed that eclectic California bohemian surf vibe.
