Library House by Jessica Helgerson

Portland- based interior design firm Jessica Helgerson Interior Design has done it again with this library renovation.  The space used to be home to the Sellwood Public Library in nearby Portland, and when the library moved to a larger facility, the building was repurposed as a church meeting hall, and now finally home to a family. Jessica and her team transformed the space and added an addition to accommodate their clients' wishes for a garage, sauna, laundry room, exercise room, and a recording studio.  All I can say is "Wow".  What I love about Jessica Helgerson's work is that it never leans too far toward one style.  It's a little bit traditional, but there are modern pieces layered in which keep it current and fun.  So much personality shines through, but she does a great job of keeping her work from looking too overdone.  I'm swooning over that modern freestanding tub and patterned tiles in the bathroom.  To see more of JHID's work, visit the website here.
