Moroccan Tiles by Marrakech Design

I'm loving these Moroccan style cement tiles by Marrakech DesignThe designs are applied to the surface of the cement tiles by a process called encaustic painting, which is a technique using pigmented hot wax that dates back to the 19th century.  This new collection of tiles by Claesson Koivisto Rune is all made by hand at a factory just outside of Marrakech.  The three patterns are available in several different colors, and depending on how  you position them, the pattern possibilities you can create are pretty much endless.  I think the dandelion pattern is my favorite.  To learn more about these tiles, visit the Marrakech website here.
